Start with the complete journey
The usual rail approach is to take an SBB connection to Landquart, then change to the Rhaetian Railway, RhB, towards Davos. Search from your actual starting point in the SBB planner, whether that is Zurich Airport, another station or a town elsewhere in Switzerland.
Use your travel date and a realistic departure time. Rather than committing to an arrival estimate from a blog, check the live itinerary, connection details and ticket conditions. Leave breathing room after a flight, especially if you have checked luggage or an important first meeting.
Dorf or Platz? Let your address decide
Davos Dorf and Davos Platz are different stations. Check your accommodation’s exact address and its arrival advice before choosing the final stop. The best station for one hotel may be inconvenient for another.
Save the last leg as carefully as the long-distance trip: a bus stop name, walking directions or a pre-arranged pickup. If arriving late, ask how check-in works and where to go if the main entrance is closed. It is a much nicer conversation to have before you are standing outside with a suitcase.
Driving or arranging a transfer
If driving, check current Graubünden road conditions and confirm parking with your accommodation. Winter conditions can change the approach to Davos. Ask your rental company about the equipment and requirements for your actual journey.
For an arranged transfer, agree the pickup point, waiting arrangements, luggage space and late-arrival plan in advance. Teams may find it helpful to coordinate accommodation and transport together; our local partner is introduced in the guide to food, breaks and practical help.
